Identity and packaging

Most brands hire us for one and end up needing both. Identity settles what the brand says. Packaging is where those decisions meet a dieline, a compliance panel and a shelf.

Brand identity

We start with a workshop and a hard look at the category, settle positioning and voice, then build the visual system and document it so your team and your vendors can use it without asking us.

  • Brand workshop and discovery
  • Competitive and category analysis
  • Positioning, narrative and messaging
  • Tone of voice framework
  • Logo suite in every required format
  • Color, typography, graphic language and grid
  • Imagery direction and application mockups
  • Brand guide your team and vendors can use

Packaging design

We design on your printer’s dieline from the first concept. What you approve is what runs, so nothing unravels at pre-press.

  • Packaging concept and direction
  • Hero SKU design and approval
  • Rollout across flavours, formats and variants
  • Supplement Facts and compliance panels
  • Cartons, pouches, stick sachets, jars, labels
  • Barcodes, certifications and required marks
  • Print-ready AI, PDF and EPS on your printer’s dieline
  • Printer handoff and pre-press QA rounds

How a brand project runs

Every project runs the same way. Each stage gets signed off before the next one starts, so revisions stay cheap instead of piling up at the end.

Identity

  1. Workshop and discoveryFounders, product, and the things everyone assumes but nobody has written down.
  2. Competitive analysisWhat the category looks like on shelf and in feed, and where the gaps are.
  3. Positioning and narrativeWho the brand is for, what it stands for, and how it says so.
  4. Tone of voiceWritten with examples, so copy a year from now still sounds like you.
  5. Moodboard and directionDirection agreed before anyone draws a logo.
  6. Visual frameworkLogo suite, color, type, graphic language and grid, built to extend.
  7. Application and guideMockups in context, then the brand guide itself.

Packaging

  1. Concept and directionFormat, structure and shelf logic before artwork.
  2. Hero SKUOne SKU finished and approved before the system multiplies.
  3. Rollout across variantsFlavours, strengths, counts and formats. Each one distinct, all of them clearly one range.
  4. Compliance panelsSupplement Facts, claims, warnings, barcodes and certification marks laid out to spec.
  5. Print-ready filesAI, PDF and EPS, built on the printer’s own dieline.
  6. Printer handoff and QAWe stay on it through pre-press, proofs and revisions until it’s signed off for production.

Who we work with

Direct-to-consumer brands where the package does the selling before anyone opens it.

Supplements and nutraceuticals

Capsules, powders, gummies, stick packs and daily sachet systems, with the Supplement Facts and claims work that comes with them.

Food and beverage

Drink mixes, functional food and snacks, where a range grows one flavour at a time.

Beauty and skincare

Jars, tubes, cartons and labels, where finish and material matter as much as the logo.

Outdoor and lifestyle

Established brands that need the identity to mature without losing what people already recognise.

Common questions

Do we have to do identity and packaging together?

No. Plenty of brands come to us happy with their logo and only need packaging. Others need positioning work long before there’s a product to put in a box. We scope them separately. If you need both, do identity first. Packaging is where every unresolved brand decision surfaces at once, and sorting them there costs more.

Can you work with our printer and manufacturer?

Yes, and we’d rather. We design on the dieline your printer supplies, build to their spec, and stay involved through pre-press and proofs. If you haven’t picked a printer yet, we’ll design to a standard structure and adapt once you do.

Who handles Supplement Facts panels and compliance copy?

We lay out the panels, claims, warnings, barcodes and certification marks as part of the packaging work. You supply the final nutrient data and any claims your regulatory advisor has cleared. We’re designers, not compliance counsel. Final legal sign-off stays with you.

What do we actually receive at the end?

For identity: a logo suite in vector and raster across every colorway you need, a documented visual system, and a brand guide. For packaging: print-ready artwork in your printer’s required formats, built on their dieline, plus mockups you can use in your own marketing.

Can you roll one design across a lot of SKUs?

That’s most of the job. We design a hero SKU, get it approved, then extend it across flavours, strengths and counts. Each variant reads as its own product and the range still looks like one brand.

Do you design the website and ads too?

Yes, and it’s usually why brands consolidate with us. The team that builds the identity also builds the Shopify site, the Meta ad creative and the email program, so the brand doesn’t drift once it’s out in market.
